CREWE AND NANTWICH LIONS CLUB
THE SENSORY GARDEN AT STAPELEY WATER GARDENS NANTWICH
In the year 2000 the club along with Stapeley Water Gardens built a Sensory garden.
The garden features plants and shrubs that give off a perfume and are easily touched to give texture.
The garden is designed with the disabled, partially sighted and blind members of our community, who are now able to come into contact with these plants and shrubs.
Within the garden there are several water features that add sound.
The garden is maintained by voluntary contributions and fund raising events, it costs nothing to visit.
This year a garden party will be held at the Sensory Garden on Sun 4th September 05.
The Mayor of Crewe and Nantwich will be in attendance as will the Chair of Nantwich Town Council.
The party will start at 2pm and finish at approx 4pm, entertainment will be provided, also refreshments for the invited.
